ABOUT
I have a passion for joining with people to discover their known sense of value and uniqueness while, at the same time, supporting a person to bring wholeness to unprocessed parts. I have a strong sense of trust that wisdom is found within a person's body, mind, heart, and spirit. The information revealed becomes the path of what needs to be addressed if given a chance to be seen, heard, and acknowledged.
Believing wholeheartedly in the importance of authenticity, genuine connection (with Self, other, and the present moment), as well as meaning, I use a holistic and intuitive approach paired with a solid background of training, experience, and knowledge. The therapeutic journey is thus couched in safety and support with measured yet frequently rapid shifts.

"Every session I have had with Lisa has been truly enlightening; I always leave feeling better than I did when I walked in. I feel that she cares deeply about each and every one of her clients. Lisa has always made me feel comfortable, and thus able to reveal my innermost thoughts and feelings. I have seen multiple therapists and Lisa is undoubtedly my favourite. She is an all around amazing woman." - A.M. |
I have a Masters degree in counselling psychology from the University of Victoria and a Masters degree in spiritual psychology from a Swiss university. I have worked in the counselling field since 2003 as an addictions counsellor at Edgewood treatment centre; at UVic Counselling Services; in private practice in Nanaimo; and at three agencies in Victoria, Nanaimo, Parksville, and Duncan focusing on the recovery from trauma and abuse. I volunteered with Hospice for many years as a companion for those at the end stage of life and I currently work with Wuikinuxv First Nation on the beautiful central coast of British Columbia.
When not exploring inner landscapes, I love exploring outer landscapes with my tent on my back and my camera by my side - the alpine makes my cells sing. Photography is a beloved form of meditation for me and my work can be seen here. |
